County Teams Compete in Palmyra Tourney

The 81st annual Tony Lenzini Basketball tournament was during the week of Jan. 15-20. Winter weather caused a few schedule changes and postponements. The Canton boys team took home second place with Palmyra winning the championship title 52-58. The Canton Lady Tigers also took home second place. Monroe City girls team won first place defeating Canton for the title by a score of 48-32. The Highland Lady Cougars won the consolation title over Mark Twain 48-23. The Highland Cougars played for the consolation title against Hannibal boys with Hannibal winning a very close game 43-42.
