Carrie Lee “Sue” Goehl, 65, 0f Ewing, Mo., died September 29, 2017, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. She was born August 21, 1952, at Kirksville, Mo., the daughter of Lyle James and Betty Lou Parton Walker.

Carrie graduated from LaBelle High School and attended Kirksville Vocational Technical School, attending business classes in 1979 and in 1988 received her L.P.N. License. She was employed for several years as a nurse for Heartland Resources in Ewing, Mo. She served as Alderperson in LaBelle in 2002 and was an Emergency Medical Services Captain for LaBelle Fire Department First Responders Unit. Carrie also was employed as a bookkeeper for Pape Trucking for several years. Carrie loved collecting dolls, sewing, crocheting, traveling, eBay, swap shop and especially her dog Zoie. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in LaBelle, Mo.

Surviving are two children Kellie Sue (Jeff) Moyers of Moberly, Mo., and Tom Jean (Melissa) Bowen of LaBelle, Mo., one brother Dan Eugene (Carol) Walker of Newark, Mo., four grandchildren Howard and Mori Moots, Kelcey Devalle and Blain Bowen, three great grandchildren Amira Moots, Isabella Devalle and Gibson Moots, and nieces and nephews Tonya Lair, Jason Walker, Derek Walker and Sierra Walker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother David Walker.

Memorial services will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Mo. Pastor Paul Burton will officiate the services. There will be no visitation.
