Mary (Christy) Jones

Mary Christine (Christy) Jones, 64, of Quincy, Ill., died Oct. 9, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. She was born April 27, 1953 in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of George Junior and Mary Helen Walton Jones. She enjoyed quilting, beading, reading, plants and traveling and going places.She was of the Christian faith and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 37 in Quincy.

Survivors include her daughter Leslie Renae (Chris) McGrew, Quincy, Ill; her companion, Tom Boden, Quincy, Ill; grandchildren, Matthew Moran Jr., Hannibal; Jessica and Zoe McGrew, both of Quincy; sisters, Georgia Ann (Gene) Fitzpatrick, Quincy; Judy L. Ellidge, St. Louis; Jean Perez, Clarksville, Tenn; and Jane G. Summers, Laddonia, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George A. Jones.

Services will be held Oct. 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Pastor Scott Woodhurst officiating. Visitation will be held Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Ewing Memorial Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Renae McGrew to help with final expenses.
