Leota Edna Kay Newberry, 55, of Canton, Missouri died April 18, 2015 at her residence in Canton.

She was born May 23, 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana a daughter of Clifton Doyle and Virginia Lee Brannon Crowden. Leota had worked as a Telemetry Technician with Blessing Hospital. She was of the Protestant Faith.

Survivors include her son Jasen (Teena) Cunningham of La Grange, Mo.; brother Clifton Crowden of Canton; grandson Jasen Cunningham Jr. of La Grange; granddaughters, Sheena Crossett of La Grange and Victoria Sullivan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great granddaughter, Candice Crossett of La Grange and her best friend Lyla Stanton of Keokuk, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother Mary Agnus Brannon.

The family will hold memorial services at a later day.

Arrangements have been provided by the Staff of Davis Funeral Home, Canton, MO.
