General Municipal Election Results

The Lewis County General Municipal Election was held June 2. The election was postponed from April due to the pandemic. In Lewis County there were 1297 ballots or 20.13 percent of registered voters who vote. Proposition K.I.D.S (Keep Improving District Schools) passed with a vote of 573-567. Elected to Lewis County C-1 School Board were Jamie Brennan, Donna Reid and Carrie Crist, each three year terms.

The Lewis County Nursing Home District tax increase failed 753-521. LaBelle residents approved the tax levy 57-37. Also in LaBelle, Chris Parrish had 38 votes for North Ward Alderman. Two people were elected for LaBelle South Ward Alderman with Robbie Walter, 36 votes and Beverly Roberts, 24 votes Chris Heimer received 23 votes.

David Keith won over Randy Routt 234-115 for R-4 Fire Protection District Board member. Simon Thrower had 30 votes for Ewing Alderman Ward 1. Steve McKenzie had 92 votes for Lewistown Mayor. Shelly Geisendorfer had 94 votes for Lewistown Collector. Jack Huebotter had 36 votes for Lewistown Alderman North Ward, a two year term. Wes Sharpe received 38 votes for North Ward one year term; Aaron V. Lay had 56 votes for Lewistown South Ward Alderman, two year term. Bill Geisendorfer had 56 votes for Lewistown South Ward Alderman, a one year term.

Canton elected one alderman for each ward all two year terms and all running unopposed. Patti Mathieson received 41 votes for Ward 1; Dan Steinbeck 31 votes in Ward 2; and Jeff Janney had 26 votes for Ward 3.
