KENNETH WIESEMANN

Kenneth D. Wiesemann , 78, of Quincy, died December 13, 2020, in Blessing Hospital.

Kenneth was born February 19, 1942 in LaGrange, Missouri, the son of Albert and Deanna Wolfmeyer Wiesemann. He married Peggy Robinson on September 5, 1964 in Quincy. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2019.

He was born and raised in LaGrange, MO. In 1965 the Wiesemanns relocated to Quincy. He worked briefly as a mechanic for International Harvester before joining the Quincy Fire Department as a firefighter on August 10, 1970. His duty was served at Central Fire Station in Quincy, where he was also the Maintenance Officer and designed truck specifications still in use today. He owned and operated Wiesemann Service Company at 4th and Ohio for many years. Over the years he also worked as a mechanic at Sharkey transportation, Hadlers, and Bemis. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed quail and pheasant hunting as well as fishing. Kenny was always on the go and never idle. He lived a very busy life. The Wiesemanns were longtime members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy.

Survivors include: two children, Kenneth Craig Wiesemann of Bigelow, AR; and Julie Ann Wiesemann of Sedalia, MO; and a sister Phyllis (Duane) Merrell of LaGrange, MO.

In addition to his wife, Peggy, Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service was held December 18, 2020, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy, with Rev. Martin Eden officiating. Private inurnment will follow at Quincy Memorial Park.
