Mrs. Nancy I. Cottrell, 76, of La Grange, MO, died January 3, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born August 23, 1944, in Canton, MO, a daughter of James Edward and Marguerite Morriss Foust. She married Roger L. Cottrell on August 18, 1962 in Osage Beach, MO. He survives.

Nancy was of the Protestant Faith. She graduated from Canton High School and had an Associate Degree from Gem City Business College. She was a former scout leader and had worked with the Red Cross during the floods on the Mississippi River. Nancy did other volunteer work in the community and was on the La Grange medical board for a number of years. She served on the Lewis County Democratic Central Committee and had also served as an election judge in La Grange. She had a loving and nurturing way about her which extended to her family members. Working in her yard, tending to her many flowers and being outdoors was one of her favorite activities.
Survivors include her husband, Roger of La Grange; one daughter, Lori (James) Davis of O’Fallon, MO; one son, Tony (Keri) Cotttrell of Canton, MO; grandchildren, Rebecca (Matthew) Gallagher of O’Fallon, MO, Andrew Cottrell and Emma Cramsey of Canton, MO, Hannah Cottrell of Columbia, MO and Elizabeth Lay and Grant Koeniguer of Kansas City, MO; step grandchildren, Logan Davis of Pasadena, TX, Alexis Vivas of Houston, TX and Mason Davis of Pasadena, TX; great grandchildren, Nicholas Green of O’Fallon, MO, Peighton Gallagher and Madison Gallagher both of O’Fallon; one brother Robert Lee “Pete” Foust of Canton and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, Sanford Eugene Foust, James Oscar Foust, Earl V. Foust, Ray Foust, Margie Grace Peterson, Jerry David Foust, Maxine Faye Allen and Patricia Ann Herren.

A private family service will be held at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange with Pastor Stacey Nicholas officiating. Pallbearers: Andrew Cottrell, Curtiss Foust, Lonnie Foust and Kevin Cottrell. Music: Hymn of Promise, Holes in the Floor of Heaven.

Burial will be in Mark’s Cemetery in La Grange.
