Ewing News

For several times it looked like we were having a blizzard here Friday afternoon and the temperature stayed around forty degrees and a strong cold wind, it blew all weekend long.

Deer season started Saturday morning and our grandson Isaac and his wife Shelby drove back Friday to be here for hunting season. They have just moved to Pennsylvania from Colorado and Isaac has been in Florida for more training in his job with the Air Force.

It looks like a calm week for me and Don, no scheduled doctor appointments. Sharon and Donnie had lots of company this weekend. Doug and Connie Tiemann, Shannon and Steven Sapp, Ashlee and Tucker Hicks, Isaac and Shelby Fifer, Donnie Ray, Bev Roberts, and also children and babies. Busy weekend.

Thanksgiving is getting closer. I’ve got a turkey already to cook for Thanksgiving Day and Sharon will prepare a lot of the meal, along with her sister and the grandchildren also bring food and that’s what Thanksgiving is all about in our family.

I’m going to try to help them a little with the meal at Heartland Center. They will need volunteers to help with and delivery on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Call ahead to order or to volunteer 573-209-3600 or 573-209-3631. All volunteers are much appreciated.
