Highland Class of 72 Reunion

Highland High School Class of 1972 celebrated their fiftieth reunion on July 16 at the LaGrange Lions Hall with 34 classmates attending. Classmates enjoyed visiting and a dinner with background 1970s music playing.

Door prizes were given to longest married, Gene and Barb Sedelmeier; traveled furthest: Carl Cribb, Prescott Valley, Arizona; most grandchildren: Kathy (Wood) Corbin, 26 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, youngest person and honorary class member, Olivia, granddaughter of Dyas Roberts. It was noted that 20 class members have passed away.

Attending were: Mike Boyer, Ted Cottrell, Dyas Roberts, Joyce Lay, Mike Waller, George Sweet, Cindy Ennis, Kathy Corbin, Sandy Schondelmeyer, Mary Jo Ehrlich, Gene Sedelmeier, Barb Sedelmeier, Roy Veatch, John O’Brien, Audrey Rayl, John Willis, Kent Tonnies, Mark Schults, Cathy Schluckebier, Carl Cribb, John Bugh, Mike Fish, Mary Couch, Steve Bugh, Dale Adams, Judy Bell, Philip Stone, Dean Lay, Rob Griffin, Deb Myers, Debbie Danforth, Nancy Hallford, Randy Sharpe, Dan Butler.

The group is planning a get together in two years to mark turning 70 years old and another class reunion in five years. Reunion committee was Mike and Angie Boyer and Ted Cottrell. Classmates enjoyed the day seeing each other and remembering those that are no longer with us and missed the classmates unable to attend.
