LaGrange Honored as Gigabit City

yondoo Broadband, the local area High Speed Internet service provider, has certified LaGrange, MO as an official Gigabit Community. The Company presented Mayor Robert Corbin with a formal certificate memorializing that the City of LaGrange qualifies as a Gigabit City on October 19. yondoo Broadband certified, with third party verifications, that the city of LaGrange’s fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network design and operations within the designated service area meet or exceed requirements for symmetrical 1Gigabit service. Additionally, 100 percent of the residents or businesses within the designated service area are serviceable for advanced High Speed Internet services.
Mayor Corbin commented, “High-speed Internet access is essential telecommunications infrastructure in any community, especially in communities our size. This type of technology in LaGrange is crucial to our residents and businesses; more specifically, for education, tel-work, tel-medicine; and positions our community to be competitive in attracting new businesses and development. We continue to have a great working relationship with yondoo Broadband.” yondoo Broadband’s fiber optic network, which brought fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) to LaGrange in 2021 and continued expansion in the county, allows gigabit technology to enter into rural communities at the same rate as its urban counterpart.
