Linda A. Hernandez

Mrs. Linda A. Hernandez, 73, of Maywood, Mo., formerly of Quincy, Ill., died February 11, 2020 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born June 16, 1946 in Chicago, IL a daughter of James L. and Pearl P. Tallmon Garrett and was raised by Alfred Junior Combs. She married James N. Hartley in 1967 and later married Hector J. Hernandez on February 3, 1993 and he died June 13, 2004.
She was a member of Life Tabernacle Church in Canton. Linda had been employed as a CNA, Factory worker, and bartender and house keeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include four children, Jody (Rick) Seals of Maywood, Dale (Leta) Hartley of Liberty, IL, Carolyn (Johnny) Weathers of Quincy, IL and Mathew Hartley of Liberty, IL; grandchildren, Stacey (Brian) Kreps,Winterset, IA, Jennifer (Bryan) Leckbee, Maywood, MO, Jonah Seals, Maywood, MO, Rick (Heather) Lish, Cottage Hills, IL, Brandon (Jennifer) Lish, Quincy; Rachel Hartley, Quincy; Douglas (Teal) Hartley, Quincy; Corey (Rachel) Combs, Canton, MO, Chadd Combs, Quincy; Destiny Weathers, Quincy; and Jonae Weathers, Quincy, IL; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leon, Alfred Jr. and Pearl Pauline and four siblings, Alice Greene, Jeanette Buskirk, Barbara Lee and Mona Branham.

Memorial services were held February 15, 2020 at Life Tabernacle Church in Canton with Pastor Paul Kinney officiating. Music: Stairway to Heaven, Amazing Grace, Old Rugged Cross, Lead Me Home, All My Life, & Family. Honorary Pallbearers: Rick Lish, Brandon Lish, Corey Combs, Chadd Combs, Douglas Hartley, and Jonah Seals

Burial will be held at a later date at Maywood Cemetery, Maywood, MO.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
