WILLIAM F. SCOTT  

Mr. Bill Scott, 81, of Canton, Mo., died April 4, 2020 in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton.

Bill was born March 15, 1939 in Elk Point, SD a son of Merle Byron and Frances June Hartwig Scott. He married Judith L. Atwell on June 30, 1970 in Oquawka, IL. She survives.

Bill was an over the road truck driver for 46 years. He loved woodworking, gardening and had the best tomatoes and often shared his produce with people in town. He enjoyed fishing, watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, and traveling to Branson and Rockaway Beach often in a camper that he built himself. Bill was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton.
He was an amazing dad and husband, known as a gentle giant, and is survived by his wife, Judy Scott of Canton, Children Steve (Jennifer) Scott of Summerville, South Carolina and Julie (Terry) Moon of Canton; step children, Shawn (Debra) Walker of Edwardsville, KS, Mary Inghram of Largo, FL, Verla Burger of Kansas City, MO, Denise (Brad) Conwell and Jodi Cheselka both of Overland Park, KS; 52 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tracy Scott, Step Son Nick Walker, Step Grandson Billy Burger and his brother Gene Scott.
