The American Red Cross will have a blood drive, Tuesday, May 12, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Immanuel Methodist Church, 601 Washington Street, Canton, Mo. Donors are being asked to make an appointment. The Red Cross has implemented new guidelines for blood drives and they are wanting to control the number of donors at drive at any given time. New guidelines include that any person who comes to the drive will have their temperature taken before they enter. If their temperature is at 99.6 or above, they’ll be asked to return home. Everyone will be asked to wear a facemask. If a person does not have a mask, the Red Cross will furnish a mask to the person. Appointments are requested but walk in donors will be slotted into an appointment time that is open on the schedule. Donors may schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or website at www.redcrossblood.org and enter the zip code for Canton, MO or use the mobile Red Cross app on their phone.
