Additional Lewis County COVID-19 Case

The Lewis County Health Department has confirmed on May 14 one new positive case of COVID-19 in Lewis County.
The individual’s age is between 60-70. The individual is being asked to self-isolate to decrease the risk of exposing others. The Lewis County Health Department is maintaining contact with the individual to make sure their needs are met and they are following self-isolation. The individual is recovering at home.

Healthcare and public health are working together to contain the spread of this virus, in a manner to protect the health of the community and the safety of our healthcare providers. They are communicating with local agencies as well as the Department of Health and Senior Services to maintain current situational awareness on COVID-19.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever of 100.4°F or above, cough and shortness of breath.
