COVID-19

June 09, 2020

COVID-19 testing will be available in Lewis County on  June 19, 2020 at the  Lewis Co Fairgrounds Lewistown, Mo. Testing will be available from  7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. There are 300 tests available so residents are urged to register as soon as possible.

Registration for Lewis County has opened and residents must register on line with DHSS or by calling the registration number. Appointments can be made online starting on June 8-12 on the DHSS registration site. Those without access to online registration can call the Missouri COVID-19 hotline for registration assistance at 877-435-8411.

Any Missouri residents who wish to be tested with a nasal swab to see if they have an active COVID-19 infection can do so at the specified sites in each region at no cost to the individual. Missouri residency is the only requirement; individuals do not have to live in the county in which they are tested, and they do not have to be experiencing symptoms.

This is not an anti-body test, so the test will not be able to confirm if someone has had Covid-19. But it will give health officials knowledge of the virus presence in Lewis County.

Anyone with any questions regarding Clinics, Lab draws, or COVID can call the Lewis County Health Department at 573-767-5312.
