RITA SIMPSON

Rita A. Simpson, age 89, of Kansas City, Mo., died August 10, 2020. She was born July 14, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Thelma and Cornelius "Neil" Powell. She most of her life in the Lewis County area.

Rita loved to travel and visited all 50 states and Canada, making lasting friends along the way.

As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, the only thing she loved more than traveling is her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Keith H. Simpson; their children, Pamela and Lynn Fox, Colleen and Jim Hardy, Jerry and Mary Ann Day, Bruce and Emily Day, Mark and Karen Simpson, Mike and Donna Simpson, Marilyn and Richard Carlson and Mitch and Sherree Simpson; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.Rita is preceded in death by her parents and son, Alan Day.

A celebration of life service for Rita will be announced at a later date.
