Elizabeth Sharpe

Elizabeth Rodgers Sharpe, 95 of Lewistown, Missouri died May 3, 2021 at the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

Elizabeth, the daughter of Pearl Oliver and Mary Lee Nauser Rodgers, was born on February 28, 1926 near Youngers, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to John R. Sharpe on November 22, 1947 at Mexico, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2013.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. She was involved in farming with her husband, John, during the first 27 years of her adult life and then, later as a homemaker. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and she loved to go camping with John and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Rodger (Mary)) Sharpe of Warrensburg, Mo., Randall (Brenda) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo. and Rick (Denise) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo.; ten grandchildren, Paul (Steph) Sharpe of Mission, Tx, Jason (Melonie) Sharpe of Warrensburg, Mo., Melanie (Justin) Harris of Warrensburg, Mo., Rebecca (Justin) Lombard of St. Louis, Mo., Wesley (Heather) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo., Bradley (Heather) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo., Ashley (Matt) Steyer of Overland Park, Ks., Elizabeth (Richie) Keith of Lewistown, Mo., Joshua (Kelly) Sharpe of Maywood, Mo. and Ethan (Carley) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo.; twenty four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, an infant granddaughter, and a brother and sister in law, Marion Oliver and Betty Pierceall Rodgers.

Graveside funeral services were held May 8, 2021 in the Lewistown Cemetery at Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Grandson pallbearers: Paul Sharpe, Jason Sharpe, Wesley Sharpe, Bradley Sharpe, Joshua Sharpe and Ethan Sharpe.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Association or the First Baptist Church of Lewistown.
