Terry Hawkins is First Guest Artist
The Canton Library hosted the first in a series of guest artists who will have their work displayed at the library on May 1. Terry Hawkins of Canton was the first guest artist. Hawkins said, “It was a pleasant and enjoyable opening of the start of a summer of local artists showing work in the Canton Public Library. I put 14 acrylic paintings on the library walls that will be there for the whole month of May.” Hawkins continued “ I am fortunate to be the first artist to try to expand the visional experiences of all people who come in to get books, use the many computers, read a magazine, and relax in a great atmosphere and maybe just slow down. “ Terry also said the staff at the library are very helpful and accommodating when greeting the pubic and he hopes more people take advantage of the local free resource and visit the Canton library. Hawkins said he appreciated the library and the city of Canton for the warm reception.
