EDITH SCHMUCK
Edith Victoria Schmuck, 93, of Ewing, Missouri died August 12, 2021 in the Country Aire Retirement Estate in Lewistown, Missouri.
Edith was born February 14, 1928 in Steffenville, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd and Clara Bauerrichter Stambaugh.
On December 10, 1958, she married Fred A. Schmuck in Quincy. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1991.
Edith was a graduate of the Durham High School in Durham, Missouri. She was a member of the Mendon Congregational Church, and currently attended the Durham Methodist Church. Edith was also a member of the Lewis County Oats Club, where she was recognized as the 1986 Volunteer of the Year, and she was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Edith was an avid traveler and had taken up quilting with the LaGrange Methodist Church Quilters.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Bessie Stambaugh of LaGrange, Mo.; two nieces, Virginia (Mike) Carpenter of Novelty, Mo., and Mary (Russell) Hill of Carrollton, Mo.; two nephews, David (Diane) Stambaugh of Lewistown, Mo., and Edward (Patricia) Stambaugh of LaGrange, Mo.; four great nieces, Amber (Justin) Smith, Valerie (Mike) Pounders, Brenda (Doug) Mallett, and Kimberly (Aren) Schneider; one great nephew, Scott (So Young) Stambaugh of Florida; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Raymond Stambaugh.
Services were held August 16, 2021 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Helen McFarland officiating.
Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
