There were several class reunions held last week.  Gerald and Malinda Poulter attended Gerald’s 55th Class Reunion.  Gerald graduated in 1966 from Unity High School in Mendon, Il.

Marty (Martha) Brennan and Norma (Roach) Bower also attended the Class of 66 Kahoka High School Class Reunion last week that was held in Kahoka.

The Shrine of St. Patrick is welcoming everyone to tour the Shrine during the month of October.  The Shrine will be opened from 9:00AM – 4:00PM every Saturday for your viewing pleasure.  The grounds have also been decorated for Fall and would make a splendid family photo background.

Dan and Myrna Daughtry and Marcia and Edd Hardin attended the Memorial service that was held on Sunday, September 26th for Pam Fox, who passed away on October 29, 2020.  Many stories and memories were shared among the gathering with everyone noting that she is dearly missed.

Restoration of the St. Patrick statue was completed last week and work will now start for the landscaping around the iconic statue. In 1923, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wheeler donated the statue to the St. Patrick school where it was placed.  The statue was purchased from the Daprats Statutory Company and weighs about 1,000 lbs.

Our newest addition to the St. Patrick area, Mark and Teresa Woodworth, invited the community to their home last Saturday for a very fun gathering.   Everyone enjoyed the food, music, fireworks, and fellowship
