OKLE HINKLE

Okle Lucille Hinkle,86 of Lewistown, Mo., died December 30, 2021 at Quincy, Illinois.

Okle was born March 12, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dessie Conover. On April 29, 1956 she married her best friend Bill Hinkle in Lewistown, Mo. He survives.

Okle graduated from Lewistown High School. She was an excellent homemaker, and helped run the family dairy farm for many years. Okle worked for the Lewis County C-1 School District for 30 years before retiring. She lived her life devoted to the Lord and Jesus Christ our savior. Okle was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Lewistown.

Okle never failed to have the perfect words to bring a smile to anyone whether she had known you for years or if she had just met you. If you had doubts, she encouraged and if you had joys, she made them bigger. Okle liked most to share and listen to the conversations had between those she loved. Her favorite pastime was watching children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed hosting and cooking delicious meals regularly. Okle’s life speaks for itself through her actions, encouraging love and kind words. She always left with “LOVE YOU MORE”.

Survivors in addition to her husband include 5 children, Doug Hinkle of Elsberry Mo., Jim (Kim) Hinkle of Knox City Mo., Terry (Shelle) Hinkle of Lewistown Mo., Michelle (Phil) Murfin of Lewistown Mo., and Richard (Leisa) Hinkle of Taylor Mo.. 14 Grandchildren Billie (Andy) Harshberger, Chris Hinkle, David Hinkle, Kathleen (Tyler) Stevens, Jennifer Hinkle, Ryan (Micala) Hinkle, Amanda (Justin) Roberts, Casey (Ryan) Mittelberg, Samantha (Ethan) Allen, Jessica (Nate) Seiler, Emilee (Colt) Doyle, Austin Hinkle, Katee Hinkle, Cooper Hinkle. 11 Great Grandchildren Emma and Sawyer Harshberger, Parker and Ollie Hinkle, Elaine Hinkle, Charli Roberts, Nash, Jovi, and Huck Allen, Samuel and Connor Seiler.

Okle now joins her parents, a brother and sister-in-law David (Ruby) Conover, a sister and brother-in-law Jonet (Carl) Specht, a niece Carol Bailey, a brother-in-law Shorty (Leroy) Hinkle, Father and Mother-in-law Harold and Alice Hinkle, and a great grandson Hawk Doyle.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Carolyn Leaver officiating.

Pallbearers: Chris Hinkle, David Hinkle, Ryan Hinkle, Austin Hinkle, Cooper Hinkle and Andy Harshberger. Honorary Pallbearers: Billie Harshberger, Kathleen Stevens, Jennifer Hinkle, Amanda Roberts, Casey Mittelberg, Samantha Allen, Jessica Seiler, Emilee Doyle and Katee Hinkle. Visitation: Jan. 4 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown.

Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Park United Methodist Church of Lewistown.
