Barron Anniversary

Don and Betty (Thraser) Barron of Hoopeston, Ill., recently celebrated 72 years of marriage with a family celebration.

They were married June 15, 1950 in Canton, Mo., with V.T. Wood officiating. They have two children, David (Pam) Barron of Ambia, IN; and Val (Betty) Barron of Hoopeston, Il. They have four grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Formerly of Lewis County, Betty has a sister, Erma Dee Jones of Lewistown, and several other relatives in the area. Mr. Barron retired from the Milwaukee Railroad and the University of Illinois and Mrs. Barron retired from Watseka Floral and Creative Products.
