For the first time since 2019, the Highland High schools Student Council and History club hosted a Veterans Day program to honor Lewis County Veterans. The clubs collaborated by hosting Pancakes for Patriots open to the public from 7 a.m to 9. am, followed by an assembly in the High School gymnasium. Lewis County Veterans were recognized during this time with the Presentation of Colors, Highlands Band and Choir performance, and a white table ceremony to honor the heroes missing in action. Highland had a special guest speaker, Sergeant Chas Sells, a 2000 Highland graduate. She gave a remarkable speech about the Air force and inspired many.
