BRADLEY FARR SR.

Bradley Lynn Farr Sr., 61, of Canton, Mo., died March 7, 2023 at 1:45 a.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Brad was born June 15, 1961 in Quincy, Ill., a son of Jack W. and Janet L. Fohrman Farr. Brad proposed to Tina M. Crabtree on December 25, 1985 at 6:00 p.m. in LaGrange, Mo. They were married on January 30, 1986 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Church in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

He was a member of the Dover Baptist Church near La Grange and was a member of the Walnut Grove 4-H club and FFA chapter while in school. Brad graduated from Highland High School in 1979 and had worked with his father on the family farm and also in home construction. Brad loved life, his family and his Lord and Savior. He took great enjoyment in cars and motorcycles and visiting with friends and it is said, “He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need”. Brad also liked to hunt, fish, spend time in nature and play his guitar and harmonica. Cooking and barbecuing were one of his gifts as well as the ability to make you laugh.         

Survivors include his wife, Tina of Canton; son, Bradley L. Farr Jr. of Canton; mother, Janet L. Farr-Gaus (Donald Powell) of La Grange; brother, Scott (Sandy) Farr of LaGrange; niece, Sydney Farr of LaGrange; several sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wilson Farr, grandparents, Leonard Fohrman and Kaherine Fohrman-Brown, grandparents Wilson and Violet Oenning Farr, step-father Edwin Gaus, step-grandfather Forrest Brown and step-grandmother Margaret Farr

Graveside memorial services were held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Dover Cemetery with Rev. Wes Friday officiating.  A luncheon was served at the Dover Baptist Church following the service.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Dover Cemetery Association in care of Davis Funeral Home, LaGrange, Mo.
