ROSEMARY LEWIS

Rosemary Lewis of LaGrange, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Rosemary was born June 19, 1927, a daughter of Allie and Maggie Hickman.
Rosemary loved the Lord and was a member of Green Chapel Baptist Church of LaGrange. She married the teenage love of her life Henry Lewis Jr. on January 2, 1943. They were married for 57 years. He preceded her in death. She loved her family; and her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren were her life.

Surviving are her children; Roy (Ottie) Lewis of LaBelle, Mo., Robert (Cindy) Lewis, Allen Lewis of Quincy, Ill., Jackie (Claude) Humphrey, Doug (Stacey) Lewis, Connie Tasco, Cindy (James) Dade, Diane Eston, and Randy Lewis all of LaGrange; 23 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Pat, son Ronnie, daughter Sharon and a grandson Gardell. She was the last of the Golden Girls which consisted of her three sisters, Thelma, Velma and Mildred. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack and Calvin Hickman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange with Minister Dane Humphrey conducting the services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, LaGrange, Mo.
Pallbearers: Lee Lewis, DJ Lewis, Brian Lewis, Thomas Payne, Alan Hickman, Curtis Mosby and Rickie Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers: Carlos Lewis, Kevin Lewis, Anthony Lewis, Allen Lewis Jr., Finley Lewis Jr., Paul Lewis, Charles Lewis, Randall Lewis, Aaron Payne, James Dade Jr., Finley Lewis III, Claude Humphrey Jr., and Robert Lewis Jr.

The family suggests memorials be made to Green Chapel Baptist Church.
