High School Art Exhibition and Workshops

Culver-Stockton College Fine Arts Department hosted 15 area high schools. Each school was allowed to bring their top 10 fine arts students. Students submitted art for a juried art exhibition and attended workshops throughout the day. Workshops were given by the faculty and students of Culver-Stockton College. Bryon Hartley, from Springfield, Illinois, demonstrated the art of making marbles. Students and teachers alike were allowed to try their hand in this art form. The awards judge was an adjunct painting professor from the University of Missouri. Honorable mention award winners were Audrey Randal and Kimberly Thrower of Canton, Kathryn Moyers of Highland, Iris Mishra from Scotland County, Alyssa Meyers of Palmyra, Hannah Miller from Knox County, Mia Spurlock from Elsberry, Kylana Gunnel of North Shelby, Jorelyn Forrester of Quincy, and Jalaya Ries from the Logan Private Studio. Fort Madison students winning an honorable mention were Cayla Fuerhammer, Mylah Blanchard, and Emily Tran. Hannibal award winners in this category were Marcas Ball and Jada Dolbeare.

Merit Award winners were Trevor Daggs and Zoey Baker of Highland, Ella Weber of Logan Private School, Alexis Lambert of Elsberry, and Madison Hill from Quincy High School. Hannibal received 3merit awards to Brooke Bergman, Landin Riley and Isabelle Hodson. Fort Madison merit award winners were Breeann Walston, Mateo Lozano, Victoria Peters and Ran Detlefsen.

Best of Show was awarded to Raegan Bowser from the Logan Private School and Sidney Zimmerman from Hannibal High School.
