Memorial Day Services Schedule

Memorial Day Services

Memorial Day services are planned for Monday, May 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Cemetery in Ewing and at 11:00 a.m.at the Durham Cemetery. The speaker at both services will be Steve Austin, a Retired Air Force Veteran and a member of Post 578. The services will be conducted by the American Legion Post #578 of Lewistown. Otto Bruner Post 170 will host Memorial Day services Monday, May 29, at Forest Grove Cemetery Gazebo in Canton at 10:30 a.m. The service will include a memorial tribute to former Otto Bruner Commander Richard Pace who passed away January 2023. Mr. Pace rode the lead horse in the caisson during President Kennedy’s funeral. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of the services.

Otto Bruner Post 170 is also requesting volunteers to help place and then remove flags for veteran graves. Anyone wanted to help can meet at the Forest Grove cemetery gazebo on Saturday, May 27 at 9 a.m. and/or Tuesday, May 30 at 9 a.m. to help with removal of the flags. Any and all help is very much appreciated by the veterans.
