Bad Art Night

The Canton Public Library is hosting a special edition of their popular Bad Art Night on August 29 at 6 p.m. As a new twist, participants will start with a pre-painted canvas, print, or photo and use all their talent and creativity to turn it into their own creation! All adults and teens age 14 and up are welcome to take a masterpiece and turn it into a disasterpiece!

Transform a pastoral landscape into a Halloween scene, or a classic portrait into your favorite cartoon character. Don’t feel like painting? The library will have some other fun, creative art supplies for you to use, too.

There will be two or three rounds of hacking fun - a mystery round, a choose your own painting round, and if time, a speed or a partner round!

Participants are free to scour resale shops for a painting or print they would like to hack. The library will also provide prints, paintings and photos to choose from.
