BEVERLY KNIGHT

Beverly A. Knight, 73 of Monticello, Missouri died October 1, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
The daughter of Preston and Hazel Perdue Featherlin was born on February 1, 1950 in McDonough County, Illinois.
Beverly, better known as Memaw, was a member of the Lewistown Christian Church. Her hobbies included going “treasure hunting”, working in her yard, tending to her cats, playing Yahtzee, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and family. Memaw was known to grow poppy’s, be a critic for good food, and know the latest on bargain finds.
She is survived by her children, Billie (Tonya) Hackemack of Golden Valley, Az., Kim Porter of Monticello, Mo., Randy (Brittany) Hackemack of Maywood, Mo. and Amy (Bruce) Windoffer of Shawnee, Ks.; grandchildren, Casandra, Destiny, Jesse Porter, Sam Porter, Brooke Porter, Ryan Hackemack, Gabe Hackemack, Sophia Hackemack, Sadie Hackemack, Quinton Windoffer and Ali Windoffer; great grandchildren, Falon and Scarlett Porter; a brother, Wendell (Dottie) Featherlin of Carlisle, Pa.; sisters, Vicki Witthaus of Hannibal, Mo. and Linda Wheat of Monticello, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and her cats, Lilly and Pippy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in law, David Porter, brother in laws, Leroy Witthaus and Bill Wheat.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 5 until 7 PM at the Monticello Methodist Church in Monticello, Missouri. Bev’s wishes would be that everyone please wear bright colors.
Memorials may be made to the Village of Monticello and Monticello Masonic Lodge Flag Memorial.
