TRACY ‘ACE’ ELDER

Tracy K. “Ace” Elder, 59 of Canton, Missouri, died October 12, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home in Canton.

The son of Gladys Irene (Clapper) Elder was born on September 22, 1964 at Quincy, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Kristy Smith on August 15, 1992 at the First Baptist Church in Lewistown, Missouri.

Tracy was a member of the Canton Masonic Lodge #258 A.F. & A.M. in Canton. He had also served on the Lewis County Fair Board and his family had been recognized as the Lewis County Farm Family of the Year. He had worked at S & N Body Shop in Quincy, Illinois and he owned and operated Ace Elder Automotive and Elder Auto Parts Napa Store in Canton. He liked to go camping, fishing, especially for spoon bill and travel. He was a loving husband, father and papa who enjoyed helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Elder of Canton, Mo.; three children, Jacob Elder of Quincy, Ill., Katie Elder of Canton, Mo., and Emma Elder of Canton, Mo.; his grandson, Grayson Wooley; three sisters, Cheryl (Rodney) Beebe of Quincy, Ill., Vicky S. Elder of Quincy, Ill., and Marla (Brian) Lisenbee of Maywood, Mo.; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a nephew, Clinton Beebe and an uncle, Parke Pipper.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Pastor Phil Darnell officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton. Honorary Pallbearers: Gary Gengenbacher, Ed Courtney, Jeff Smith and Brian Lisenbee.
