Softball Districts

The Highland Lady Cougars Softball season ended Oct. 16 in the Class 1 District 5 Tournament. The number one seeded Highland won over South Shelby 11-1 on Oct. 14 and advanced to the final game where they were defeated by number 2 seed Bowling Green. The Lady Cougars end their season with a 27-3 record.

The Canton Lady Tigers were scheduled to play LaPlata on Oct. 17 for the Class 1 District 5 title. The Lady Tigers beat Atlanta 10-0 and won over Paris/Faith Walk 10-1 on Oct. 16, to advance to the championship. The Canton Lady Tigers are seeded number one in the tournament.
