Canton & LaBelle Christmas Parades and other activities
The annual Canton Parade of Lights will be held Dec. 7 along with other events. The tree lighting will be at Central Park at 5:30 p.m. Hot dog, hot cocoa and caroling will be part of the festivities. The parade will be in downtown Canton and through residential streets beginning at 6 p.m. Santa will meet with children after the parade at the Canton Public Library. The theme of the parade this year is How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
LaBelle will have several Christmas activities on December 9. It is a Hawaiian Christmas theme at the LaBelle Train Deport. A bake sale will be held at the Fire Station with proceeds going to Suicide Prevention. A Soup Supper will be held at the LaBelle Fire station beginning at 5 p.m. Cost is a free will donation. The lighted parade will start at 6 p.m. with line up at 5:30 p.m at the LaBelle Manor. The Train Depot opens at 5 p.m. and Santa will be there after the parade. The LaBelle Train Depot is located at 606 State Street in LaBelle.
