MARTHA JOANNE BOUDREAU

Martha Joanne Boudreau, 86, of Kahoka, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka. Joanne was born on September 5, 1937, in Lewis Co. Mo., to Thomas and Martha (Bader) McDermott.  Joanne was united in marriage to Eston Boudreau October 15, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic church in Canton, Mo., and he preceded her in death November 18, 2012.

She was a high school graduate of St. Patrick School. Joanne was a strong believer of her Catholic faith, and saying the rosary was a daily ritual of hers. 

Joanne was a farmer’s wife, her and Eston would put in a big garden and enjoyed sharing the produce with family and friends. She went to work for the Clark County R-1 grade school with Harry Plenge as Principal and then went on to the superintendent’s main office as bookkeeper until her retirement. Joanne was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and Elvis fan. Most of all, Joanne loved her family and enjoyed cooking meals for them all.

Joanne is survived four children: Debbie (Ken) Stevenson of Kahoka, Mo., Diane Chenoweth of St. Peters, Mo., David (Pam) Boudreau of Kahoka, Mo., and Darin (Ginger) Boudreau of Canton, Mo. 11 Grandchildren; Chris (Courtney) Kirchner, Jenny (Matt) Palmer, Joe (Chanda) Kirchner, Shawn (Amy) Stevenson, Ashley (Adam) Rung, Abe (Jessica), Amelia Boudreau, Karissa (Padin) Boulden, Bryce (Bailey) Boudreau, Sara (Gabe) Small, and Tessa Chenoweth. 16 Great Grandchildren; Gabi, Maverick, Cabell, Mila, Dakota, Tanner, Brooklyn, Makena, Savannah, Ervin, Aleigha, Leo, Rial, Asa, Kinley and Bode. a Sister; Mary (Jerry) Campbell, a Brother; Jim (Carol) McDermott, 1 Sister-in-law; Lola (Joe) McDermott as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eston, two brothers; Ronnie and Joe, one sister-in-law; Eileen Kirchner, one brother-in-law; Charles Kirchner, and a nephew Christopher Kirchner.

Funeral Services for Martha Joanne Boudreau were held December 20, 2023, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home of Kahoka.  Pastor Shawn McAfee officiated. Visitation was held December, 19.

Burial was at the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, Mo.
