DANNY DESVAUX

Danny Desvaux, 73, died February 7, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Danny was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on April 12, 1950, to William and Dorothy (Spurgeon) Desvaux.

He graduated from Williamstown, Mo., and spent a year in college before enlisting in the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged, Danny worked as a front loader driver for BFI Waste Management before his retirement. He married Charlotte Emerick on July 18, 1980, in Quincy, Illinois.

Danny loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved his dogs, and cats, as well as the variety of animals that would appear in his backyard on any given day. Danny had a big heart, and he will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte Desvaux; sons Jason Desvaux of Canton, Mo., Zach (Lonna) Dopheide, of Sacramento, Calif., Clint Dopheide of Williamstown, Mo., and Jason (Amy) Dopheide, also of Williamstown, Mo.; daughters Sabina (Keith) Davis, of Kahoka, Mo., and Kelly Wilson of Canton, Mo.; 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; also numerous cousins, and other friends and family.

As per Danny’s request, there will be no services.
