Traffic Crash Hwy 61

A traffic crash occurred in the northbound lane four miles south of LaGrange on Highway 61 on May 7, which resulted in serious injuries for one driver, Craig Starkey, 77, of Quincy, IL. The 2017 GMC 1500 driven by Starkey pulled into the path of a 2023 Kenworth Tractor Trailer driven by Dakota Downson age 26 of Auburn, Ill. Clean-up from the wreck and grain spill took several hours. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lewis County Ambulance, Lewis County Sheriff’s Department and LaGrange Police Department responded to the scene.
