Canton Ladies Track Members Qualify for State Tournament

The Canton Girls Track team qualified for the Missouri Class 1 State Tournament at the Sectional meet held at Paris on May11. The Tiger’s 4x100-meter team qualified and two other members of theTigers’ relay team, Laken Hudnut and Sophia Slater, both sophomores — qualified in additional events. With Hudnut receiving fourth in the 100 dash, and Slater received fourth place in the triple jump to qualify for state. Slater set a personal best of 9.73 meters in the triple jump.
