ELIZABETH ANN COLLINS

Ms. Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Collins, age 79, of Hannibal, Mo., died May 25, 2024 at Beloved Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hannibal.

Formerly of Canton, Mo., she was born January 2, 1945 in Canton a daughter of Charles Lucien and Elizabeth May Sharp Collins.

Betty graduated from Canton R-V School and worked at several local restaurants. She was a caretaker for both her elderly parents and also worked at the Lewis County Nursing Home. She did not have children, but loved to babysit her niece and nephews and many other children throughout her life. She also loved having pets and had many cats and dogs over her life time.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Collins of Canton; nephews, Danny, Doug and Bill Collins all of Canton and niece, Gail Stahl of Maywood, Mo., and several cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Collins and sisters in law, Dorothy Collins and Linda Collins.

Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton with Fr. Callistus Okoroji officiating. There will not be any visitation, but friends and relatives are invited to the committal service. Pallbearers: Bill Collins, Doug Collins, Danny Collins and Tim Stahl

The family suggests memorials be made to the local animal shelter in care of Davis Funeral Home, P.O. Box 108, Canton, MO 63435.
