RONALD HINTON

Ronald Dee Hinton, 79, of Concordia, Mo., passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo.

Ron was born July 19, 1944 to Chester Daniel Hinton and Martha Ann Hinton (Williams) at his family home near Monticello, Mo., along with his twin brother.

He was united in marriage to Leona Ann Bentzinger on December 10, 1967. He was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ in Concordia, Mo., and the American Legion.

Ron was a student at Monticello Grade School and graduated from Lewistown High School, Lewistown, Mo., in 1962. After High School, he joined the U.S. Navy and briefly attended Culver-Stockton College. Ron enjoyed everything horses, watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball, tormenting others and shooting the breeze. He was a proud Father and PaPa. He was a big supporter of his grandchildren and could be seen regularly at their extracurricular activities.

He is survived by his children; Ronald Lee (Roxanne) Hinton of Emma, Mo., Deanna (David) Quinn of Kansas City, Mo., and Michelle (Christopher) Black of St Joseph, Mo.; nine grandchildren; Ben, Doug, and Zack Schneider, Tori Hinton, Allie and Olivia Quinn, and Karleigh, Kamille, and Kellan Black; his sister, Mary Ann (Richard) Rabuazzo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers; Donald, Norman, Alfred and Bruce.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Little Mountain Cemetery in Monticello, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Church of Christ in Concordia, Mo.
