JEFFY BRUMBAUGH

Jeffy Lyle Brumbaugh, lovingly known as Jeff-Ro by his friends and family, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 57. He was born October 24, 1966, in Kirksville, Mo., and most recently resided in Lewistown, Mo.

Jeff had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Conway Twitty, Three Dog Night, Reba, and Faith Hill were among his favorite musical artists, which always brought a smile to his face. Jeffy’s favorite pastimes included watching game shows and the ID channel. He had a unique love for gambling, considering it was his favorite sport.

A few interesting facts about Jeffy revolved around his love for big-eyed animals, his catchphrase “ick ick boom boom,” and his mischievous nature. As a child, he enjoyed breaking the rules with his siblings and when excited, he would often rub his hands together in anticipation.

Above all else, Jeffy cherished his mother, Dianne Brumbaugh and his siblings. He is survived by his mother Dianne Brumbaugh of Lewistown, Mo., uncle James Fifer (spouse Gidget) of LaBelle, Mo., brother Bobby Brumbaugh (spouse Virginia) of Lewistown, Mo., sisters Teresa Brumbaugh of Lewistown, Mo., Vickie Moutray (spouse Billy) of Stoutsville, Mo., and Karen Brumbaugh of Lewistown, Mo. He was also a beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces, as well as a doting great-uncle to a multitude of great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Gene Lyle Brumbaugh and his nephew Trent Caleb Chaney.

Jeffy’s infectious laughter and his knack for making others smile will be deeply missed. His pranks, tricks and heartfelt moments will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Jeffy’s impact on the lives of others was immeasurable, leaving behind fond memories of joy and laughter.

In remembrance of Jeffy, his family kindly asks that you remember him by sharing a funny story or a kind gesture with someone you love. As Jeffy would often say, “You got five dollars or lottery tickets? Can I keep the change?” May he rest in eternal peace.

Funeral services were held in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo., on Friday, June 14, 2024. Visitation began at 9 a.m. and funeral services followed at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Reverend Lance Bonnell officiated the services. Burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery.

Musical selections will be Never Not Remember You, Go Rest High On That Mountain, In The arms Of An angel and Drink A Beer.

Casket bearers will be Ashley Barnhart, Paige Brumbaugh, Brittany Bryant, Vanessa Brumbaugh, Josh Pridemore, and Bobby Brumbaugh.
