July 26, 2024

The Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre Company will present the puppet production, “The Big Election”at Canton Public Library at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30.

Who will win the big election for Leader of the Beasts? Will it be Benny Beaver or Terry Turtle? Listen to their speeches and decide who YOU want to vote for! But how about that colony of ants? There are a zillion of them; they could change the outcome! And Worm: will her vote count for anything? Madame Owl will keep you informed with her reports from the top of a tree!

In addition to being fun and entertaining, this show will activate kids’ interest in the election process. It includes a mock election with paper ballots that will be collected during the show and counted by “The Bunny Board of Elections.” The candidates and issues are clearly defined and the news media are represented by Madame Owl’s Reports. Kids will get a paper ballot, an “I voted” sticker, and a few other goodies.
