Lewistown Business Appreciation Day

Lewistown Business Appreciation Day honored Dr. Gene Childress on Sept. 14. Dr. Childress passed away Jan. 20, 2024. The beloved doctor was an important part of the Lewistown and Lewis County community. Parade participants were encouraged to wear a curly wig, as Dr. Childress was always recognizable by his curly hair.
The Lewistown community appreciates all the good things Dr. Childress did for the community and is greatly missed, but his legacy of helping and healing will never be forgotten.
