Evelyn Carol (Rector) Weber, 95, formerly of Williamstown, MO, died September 16, 2024, at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, MO surrounded by Dave, Kristy, and two loving nurses.
Evelyn was born November 13, 1928, to Gilvie and Maxie (Joy) Rector in Clark County, MO. She was a 1946 graduate of Wyaconda High School and a member of the Williamstown Christian Church.
She married William F. (Bill) Hines April 1, 1949, and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1972. While married to Bill, they owned and operated the West Side Cafe in Wyaconda and then Hines’ Store in Williamstown. She married Wade Weber July 2, 1977, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2004. She continued to operate the store until 1985. After retirement from the store, she enjoyed helping Wade on the farm.
She is survived by a daughter, Kristy (Dave) Haskin of Clinton, MO; 2 grandsons: Wyeth Hines of Peoria, AZ, Spencer (Nikki) Hines of Tampa, FL; 3 great-grandchildren: Hannah Hines, Grant Hines and Brooklyn Hines; sister-in-law, Jeri Grogan of Keokuk, IA, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Bill and Wade; two sons: Jeffrey Hines in infancy and Rick Hines; and sisters, Doris Anderson and Betty Ebeling, one nephew: Bob Ebeling, and one great nephew Grant Guarin.
Funeral services were held September 23, 2024, at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri. Pastor Shawn McAfee officiated. Visitation was held prior to services.
