Bonnie Lee Smith, 89 of Canton, Missouri died September 20, 2024 at the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton..
The daughter of Otis and Ruby (Dye) Blaine was born on May 26, 1935 in Bible Grove, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Leonard W. Smith on May 22, 1971 at Canton, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on April 10, 2005.
Bonnie loved to spend time with her family, especially at Christmas time and at her grandchildren’s sporting events.  She liked to cook, read, go camping and visit Bible Grove.  In her later years she was a Foster Grandparent in the Canton R-V School District.
She is survived by her children, Clyde (Judy) Patterson of Lewistown, Mo., Jerry Patterson of Ewing, Mo., Teresa (Joe) McKenzie of Canton, Mo. and Tammy (John) Baalman of Canton, Mo.; grandchildren, Heather (Darron) Jarvis of Canton, Mo., Shelly (Arron) Burbridge of Canton, Mo., Rusty Patterson, Jr. of Edina, Mo., Tabitha Patterson of Ewing, Mo., Amy (Chad) Walter of Hannibal, Mo., Jessica Kamphaus of Quincy, Ill., Zachary Patterson of Quincy, Ill., Charlie (Chelsea) Patterson of Shreveport, La., Alexandra (Cody) Gadow of Broadhead, Wis., Courtney (Zach) Dye of Canton, Mo. Gabe (Haleigh) McKenzie of Palmyra, Mo., Cody Baalman of Canton, Mo. and Ben McKenzie of Canton, Mo.; several great grandchildren; sister in law, Betty Rickards of Canton, Mo.; brother in law, Bill Eisenbeiss of Canton, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and daughter in law, Russell “Rusty” (Linda) Patterson, two sisters, Fern Couch and Faye Bradley and a nephew, Steve Bradley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Steve Barker officiating.  
Burial will be in Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bible Grove, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 4 until 7 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri. Pallbearers: Zachary Patterson, Charlie Patterson, Rusty Patterson, Jr., Cody Baalman, Gabe McKenzie and Ben McKenzie. Honorary Pallbearers: Darrell McCarty, Tony Dye, Scott Wingerter, Bobby Couch, Lonnie Couch, Jim Brewer and Mark Bradley.
