JOYCE ALBERTY

Joyce Lorraine Alberty, 66, Fort Mohave, Arizona, formerly of Canton, MO died October 20, 2024 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was born January 19, 1958 in Dayton, OH.  She married William E. (Bill) Alberty on May 3, 2013 in LaBelle, MO.  He died December 25, 2022.
Joyce spent a significant part of her life in Orange County, California where she enjoyed her time by the Ocean every chance she had. She enjoyed loading the car up with her kids to grab a coffee and take an evening drive along PCH. She was amazing at playing the slot machines and always seemed to have incredible luck! If you weren’t having the best of luck when it came to gambling, she would politely suggest that you hold off on wishing her luck before heading to the casinos.
She couldn’t wait to start putting up her Christmas decorations out as early as September! For her, waiting until then felt like a true test of restraint.
She had a wonderful way of making the holidays memorable for her family, creating traditions that will be shared for generations to come.
Traveling with her husband Bill, brought her great joy as they sought out new adventures together. She traveled to Mexico, Belize, England, Scotland, and all through the states. She looked forward every year to being a snowbird in the Arizona with Bill, where for a few years they had made Arizona their home.
Joyce had a passion for gardening and loved Stargazer Lilly’s, adored animals, and enjoyed Jane Austen movies.
She was truly a remarkable friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved hosting parties, having friends and family all together to celebrate every occasion.
One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren of whom she was immensely proud of.
She had such a vibrant presence that everyone will truly feel her absence, she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette (Devon) Willis, grandson, Robert (Bobby) Randall, granddaughter, Audrey Randall, grandson, Graham Willis; son, Steven (Brittney) Fleming, granddaughter, Mia Fleming, grandson Cooper Fleming; sister, Nancy Prosen; sister in law, Sherry Ward and brother in law, Marty (Lynda) Alberty. 
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, mother, Clara Thompson, sisters, Linda Alonzo and Vickie Thompson, brothers, David, William (Billy), Robert (Bobby), Kenneth, Samual and Ralph Thompson.
Graveside services and burial were held October 30, 2024 in Forest Grove Cemetery. Fr. Rob Fields presiding. Pallbearers:  Devon Willis, Bobby Randall, David Parrish and Jarrod Eisenburg.
