Charles Manley Lawrence, 53 of Hamilton, Illinois passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home in Hamilton.
The son of Wilbur and Nona McGartland Lawrence was born on April 3, 1971 at Quincy, Illinois.
He was united in marriage to Lori Anderson on January 7, 2011 at Fulton, Missouri.
Charles liked to be outdoors camping, riding four-wheelers, running his dogs and boating. He taught his kids to water ski and liked to cook and feed everyone.  It was “Papa Said” for his grandchildren and he loved his mom.  He was a great storyteller and collector of sorts. Charles was a perfectionist who took pride in his work and he was a member of the Plasterers and Cement Masons Union #518 in Kansas City, Missouri for 25 years and was the foreman for S & G Construction.
He is survived by his mother, Nona Lawrence of Canton, Mo.; his wife, Lori Lawrence of Hamilton, Ill.; children, Kiersten Lawrence (Donald Strieker) of Quincy, Ill., Skylar Fray of Columbia, Mo., Chandlar (Breanne) Lawrence of Columbia, Mo., Leighton (Josi) Green of Hamilton, Ill., Ashlyn Green of Hamilton, Ill., Aidan Lawrence of Hamilton, Ill, and Briley Husted of Ft. Madison, Ia.; grandchildren, Maddalynn Lawrence, Agnes Lawrence, Kendall & Kalub Strieker; a sister, Stephanie (Paul) Cress of Quincy, Ill. and a brother, Gerald Aguayo of Michigan; nieces & nephews, Kevin (Jocelyn) Altgilbers, Corey (Erika) Altgilbers, Shelby (Brett) Ellison, Mike (Danielle) Aguayo and Miranda Aguayo; special cousin, Jaquette Brassfield-Perro; several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father, Wilbur Lawrence, Jr. and his best friend, Gary Townsley.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Twin Oaks Club in Quincy, Illinois.
