In the General Election held Nov. 5, 2024, Lewis County has 5897 registered voters with total ballots of 4505 cast for a 76.39 voting percentage.
In Lewis County and state and nationwide President Trump and Vice President Vance won and received 3537 votes in Lewis County with Harris/Waltz receiving 866. Missouri statewide races, Lewis County voting, Mike Kehoe received 3547 over Dem. Crystal Quade with 751 votes for Governor. Senator Josh Hawley and Sam Graves also won state wide. Rep. Greg Sharpe was re-elected as State Representative District 4, carrying Lewis County with over 82 percent of voters. Local non contested races include Craig Redmon, Northern Commissioner; Travis Fleer, Southern Commissioner; David Parrish, Sheriff; Tammy Logsdon, Assessor; Larry Arnold, Coroner; Carson Lay, Surveyor and Luke Barton, Public Administrator.
Missouri Amendment 2. Legalizes sports betting. Passed statewide but failed in Lewis County 2306-2021.
Missouri Amendment 3. Creates a constitutional right to abortion. Passed statewide but failed in Lewis County 2877-1504
Missouri Amendment 5. Authorizes a casino near the Lake of the Ozarks, was defeated both statewide and in Lewis County.
Missouri Amendment 6. Authorizes court fees for law enforcement retirement benefits, failed statewide and in Lewis County with 2189 no and 1988 yes.
Missouri Amendment 7 passed statewide and with Lewis County voting yes 3286-962. The proposed amendment to Missouri’s constitution would prohibit ranked choice voting and primaries that advance more than one person to the general election. It also would state that only U.S. citizens can vote, repealing an existing provision stating all citizens can vote.
Missouri Proposition A. Raises the minimum wage and requires paid sick leave. This ballot proposal would raise Missouri’s minimum wage from the current rate of $12.30 an hour to $13.75 in 2025 and $15 in 2026. It also would require many employers to provide paid sick leave to employees, passed statewide, but failed in Lewis County 2199-2137
