Lewis County Adopt-a-child

Gifts donated by individuals, businesses and organizations throughout Lewis County were distributed by volunteers to over 100 children from 41 families. Foster children were also given gifts.  The gift distribution was held Dec. 20 at the Immanuel United Methodist Church, in Canton.
Volunteer Stephanie Chancellor (pictured)  has organized the event for years, gathering donations and volunteers, along with the help from the NECAC office, with locally Gena Scott. Chancellor said the event would not be possible without the numerous donations and everyone who helps shop, wrap, distribute or help in any way.
