Holiday Closings

Banks, Post Offices, city and government offices will all be closed on New Year’s Day and many will either be closed or half day on New Year’s Eve. Reminder that Lewis County personal and property taxes are due on Dec. 31 or if residents mail in their tax payment, the envelope must have a Dec. 31, 2024 post mark to avoid any late fees. The Press-News Journal will print on Monday so that most subscribers will receive their papers as normal in the mail on Thursday.
