Community Christmas Dinner

January 09, 2025

Many volunteers and donors made the annual Community Christmas dinner held in Lewistown a success  This Christmas the dinner celebrated eleven years of providing food and fellowship to anyone who needed or wanted a place to go on Christmas Day.Greg and Denise Frericks began the event over a decade ago and are thankful for all the many volunteers who prepared and brought food, helped deliver meals, served those wanting take outs or dine-in meals. The Fire Department has opened their doors all 11 years for our community to be able to provide this blessing. Also appreciation to all the businesses and individuals who donated food and other products to make this possible. This year they were able to provide approximately 200 meals. Luke Frericks was the winner of the quilt donated by Sue Brantner and Donna Hetzler won the lap blanket donated by Charlotte Dabney. Three fruit baskets were won by Donna Hetzler, Dean and Theresa Thompson and Al and Sandy Moffit.  Much appreciation goes to everyone who participated in any way to make this yearly tradition possible.
