Missouri Senate President Pro Tem Announces Committee Chairs for 2025 Legislative Session

 Missouri Senate President Pro Tem Cindy O’Laughlin, R-Shelbina, announced the chairs for the Missouri Senate’s standing committees for the 2025 legislative session. These appointments will guide the Senate’s work on key issues and reflect a continued commitment to the principles and priorities of Missourians.

“The individuals chosen to lead our committees embody experience, dedication and a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our state,” Sen. O’Laughlin said. “Their leadership will ensure we address the issues that matter most to Missourians, from public safety and education to economic development and government efficiency.”

The committee chairs for the 2025 legislative session are as follows:

●       Committee on Administration: Senator Cindy O’Laughlin, Chair

●       Committee on Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources: Senator Jason Bean, Chair

●       Committee on Appropriations: Senator Lincoln Hough, Chair

●       Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, Energy and the Environment: Senator Mike Cierpiot, Chair

●       Committee on Economic and Workforce Development: Senator Ben Brown, Chair

●       Committee on Education: Senator Rick Brattin, Chair

●       Committee on Emerging Issues and Professional Registration: Senator Justin Brown, Chair

●       Committee on Families, Seniors, and Health: Senator Jill Carter, Chair

●       Committee on Fiscal Oversight: Senator Mike Bernskoetter, Chair

●       Committee on General Laws: Senator Curtis Trent, Chair

●       Committee on Government Efficiency: Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman, Chair
